Community Resources
The importance of community commitment and support in effective preservation efforts cannot be understated. It is our hope that these resources will provide resources to the residents of the Study Area that will engage them in history of their neighborhood, and suggest forms of preservation that will be seen as beneficial to the existing community. It is our hope that the knowledge base and tools provided herein will encourage interest, dialogue, education, and grass-roots activism, such as the formation of local preservation advocacy groups. Through the involvement of community members, preservation can occur which promotes responsible neighborhood growth, and addresses the needs of the community while protecting a historic built environment.
