History and Analysis
The one-story brick structure at 83 Jefferson Street was built as a public garage in 1922. Designed by M. Margolin for owner Samuel Rabin, the building is approximately 30 feet wide by 100 deep. A brick-walled building, this structure was built on a P.C. stone concrete foundation. It was also built with a tar and gravel roof and wood window and door frames at a cost of $4500. In 1967, the building was occupied for metal stamping and finishing.[1]
