History and Analysis
This group of four four-and-a-half-story-tenements were built in 1894, coinciding with the large building boom in the neighborhood following the construction of the Myrtle Avenue elevated rail road.
This group retains a high level of integrity, including the original pressed metal cornices, window lintels and entrance design, although all doors and windows have been replaced.
The corner lot, number 823 Bushwick Avenue, was previously occupied by a wood frame two-story single-family home built in 1883 by H. Meyer.
