History and Analysis
683 Bushwick Avenue is a two-and-a-half story and basement row-house of brownstone clad in brick masonry, with a tin roof and iron cornice. Along with the row of four similiar (though smaller), it was built in 1890 by Theobald Engelhardt for William Ulmer, who lived across the street at 670 Bushwick Avenue.
