History and Analysis
Theobald Engelhardt designed the three-story brick-filled tenement with a tin roof that was constructed by builder and owner Chas. Loeffler (722 Broadway) at a cost of $4,000 in 1887.[1] Although the building retains its original massing, many of the original architectural features such as the cornice, lintels, and entryway have been lost and the building has been clad in faux siding.
