History and Analysis
24-44 Cornelia Street is a row of eleven three-story tenements built in 1892 by M. Mulrihill. The architect, builder and owner, M. Mulrihill who resided at 1069 Greene Avenue developed these tenements in conjunction with the tenements at 1186-1192 Bushwick Avenue and 12-29 Cornelia Street in the same year. Although these structures have been highly altered with vinyl siding and stone veneering, some of the original architectural elements remain intact, such as the cornices of 36, 38 and 40 Cornelia Street.
